Your free Genie
Tonight it is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to Robin Williams. Although the circumstances of his death may not be understandable, I know he left an impact on my life through his movies and comedy as well as countless others. I have been reminiscing on his movies all night from " Good morning Vietnam", " Madonna Madonna", "Oh captain my captain", and "10000 years will give you such a crick in the neck".
We are never given an end date to life. Times like this make us remember to not let life by us by. Don't put off till tomorrow what you could have done today. Hug your family close, tell an old friend you care, do something for someone. If only he knew how much he was loved just maybe we wouldn't be saying goodbye to a great man today.
Rest in Peace Robin

A new beginning
Sometimes, you just need a fresh start. This is the third blog I have started in three years and third time is the charm right.
Guess only time will tell.
I start off with one of my favorite quotes from Walt Disney. I myself have always held this to be true for me. Although we make memories and mistakes, we shouldn't look back for long, but keep moving forward. I am always curious and yearn for knowledge which maybe why I have started my seconds Masters degree. This isn't anything I am doing to impress anyone, receive praise, or even job related, but this is for me. While I have put my first Masters on indefinite hiatus, this is one I have wanted since I graduated from TAMUCC in 2008. I do plan on going back to finish this first, but life continues to throw me a series of curveballs that haven't made it possible to complete my student teaching. I chalk that up to my crazy life as a Navy spouse and move on, but this new Masters I am pursing, which is in Biology, is part of my bucket list. This will take me years to complete as I don't have the time or money to devote to it as I did my undergrad degree, but I will keep moving forward.
New topic, running! I have recently gotten back into running and even though I am not great at it, I love it. Its my sanity during my crazy days as a full time WAHM and navy spouse. Its the time the day I don't think about anything but what I am capable of doing. Turning off the over thinking brain and just burning it out. I am shooting for my first 5K in November with possible half marathon by 2016. Training for the half marathon will take time and I don't want to risk injury. Slow and steady still finishes the race.
I really have no expectations for this blog other than being me, but I know as I make more posts I will be able to grow as person, mom, wife, and friend as well as have fun.
